What’s in Store for AQS Paducah ’22

So…

it’s hard to believe that its been just over TWO years since we’ve been to Paducah KY for the AQS show. And to think, when this pandemic started in mid-March of 2020, I actually thought it might run its course in time so we could still have the AQS Paducah ’20 show in late April!

What was I thinking?

Because not only did we lose the 2020 Paducah show, but we ALSO lost the show in 2021. So needless to say, we are totally psyched and excited to be heading back to Kentucky this weekend!
And here’s the deal….

My husband is REALLY psyched about this show because for the first time in several years we’re not bringing or setting up ANY of the grid wall boxes that he so dislikes! That’s right! We enjoyed the transition from grid wall boxes to table-top grid walls on the front of our booth so much at Road2Ca and MAQF that we decided to try laying a 6′ X 2′ section on its side in order to eliminate that low section of grid walls that normally runs down that opposite side of our booth. I also found some nifty shelves that fit right on top of the top edge of that grid wall to so I won’t be sacrificing any display area for my bag samples either. To the contrary, I might actually gain a bit of display area in front of the patterns that normally hang in this area. Time will tell!

So here’s our Road2Ca layout (at left) set alongside what will be our AQS Paducah layout (at right). The booth front is basically the same as what we employed in California except that we’re taking an extra table because we have more room in our car than we did in that freight box. The big change for this show will occur on the right side of the booth where you can see the potential for some extra display area in addition to the big thing that doesn’t show up on paper… and that would be the reduced amount of time and labor putting all of the grid wall boxes together!!

Unless there’s a dramatic change this will be the first post-Covid show we’ve vended at where we don’t have to wear masks and it will be SO great to see the smiles and be able to communicate clearly again.
