AQS Paducah ’22 – the Quilts

So…

it’s time for my favorite post from the AQS Paducah because now I get to show you the quilts that were MY personal favorites from the 2022 show! But first I want to emphasize that I am no expert on quilting. As a matter of fact, I’m really not even a quilter myself having only taken two to full completion, so I’m far from qualified to be a judge! But here’s the thing… I AM a fan and a longtime admirer of excellent quilting and I know what I like, so what you’ll see below simply represents MY personal taste so I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did! 🙂

And let’s start with the quilt that won “Best of Show”!

**“Crazy Four Ewe”** by **Janet Stone** of Overland Park, KS
As beautiful as the front of this quilt is (and it’s truly amazing!), the backside of this quilt is ALSO a sight to behold! In fact…
it was the fact that BOTH sides of this quilt were spectacular in their own way, was literally the talk of the show!

**“In Respect for Craftsmen”** by **Nasako Sanada** of Minimi Boso City, Chiba Japan

**“A Tribute to Ricky”** by **Deb Schultz-Grimes** of Pinedale WY

**“Into the Sunshine”** by **Patricia Hechler** & **Joyce Hite** of Franklin OH

**“Infinity”** by **Karen Vosen** of Havre, MT
