A friend made one and I had to have one too!! I am 1/2 way thru ‘production’, and the instructions are fantastic. Love the added color instructions on the website.

      Thank you Denine!

  2. Tina M

Horrible instructions and wrong measurements galore! Package says one 10″ zipper and one 20″ zipper. Instructions then say “Place 7″ zipper” ???? The 20″ zipper is not long enough for the perimeter of the bag so there goes yet another misguided purchase. Iron on fleece should be 1/8″ yard, which is TOO SMALL to cover the piece it is intended to. Lining yardage is short as well. You would think erratas would have been issued for this but NO. Save your money and get a professional pattern with the kinks worked out.

Hi Tina- I’m sorry you are disappointed in your pattern but I feel I must address a few of the items you have complained about in your post.
First of all, I never call for a 7″ zipper in our patterns because purse zippers are not sold in sizes that small and we really do not want our customers using a dress zipper as the width is so narrow the pattern pieces wont match. We therefore call for a minimum 10″ size, afterall, nylon zippers can be cut very easily. As per the 20″ zipper… I’m sorry it didnt work out for you. Having made over 10 of these myself with out a problem, and never having gotten a complaint from anyone else, I stand by the 20″ size.
Second the yardages- Again, I stand by the yardages we call for, having never had a complaint in this regard. There are several contrasts fabrics called for, so perhaps you were confused by this?
The one thing I will fully admit and apologize for is the fusible fleece yardage. That is an error on my part… one that I was only made aware of a few days ago and I am truly sorry you were inconvenieced by it.
