So…. the quilts at the Road to California show this year were truly AMAZING! And since this was also the case at the International Quilt Festival last Fall, I’m starting to think that maybe one of the positives that have come from this pandemic is the stellar variety of quilts that were made?!?
But please remember, I am presenting this list purely as a fan of quilting. I have no special training and little to no experience creating quilts or judging them. The quilts in this post simply represent those that I loved seeing the most and I hope you enjoy seeing them too! 🙂

Her morning hiles in the woodland hills of northern CA home inspired this quilt.
She loves making wearable art & quilting. After a trip to New Orleans
she knew she HAD to make a quilt w/masquerade masks!
When Deb saw this photo by Robery Murray, she knew that the splendor of this landscape needed to be captured in fiber!
The quilt front & back was created in PhotoShop & printed on fabric.
It took over 4000 hours & over 4 years to create.
Lynn said she’s fascinated with the human face
and our ability to communicate without uttering a single word.
Made exclusively from many bold shades of Silk Radiance fabric
and featuring original floral hand-applique.
Named for a 1975 Styx song and her musical muse during the quilting phase. The design was created specific for the Turkish lace doilies used through the quilt.
