So… It’s that time again! It’s time to show you what our testers created in the process of testing our pattern instructions for the Gateway! Many of you know that one of my favorite parts of the pattern development process is the testing round. I just LOVE seeing what our testers are inspired to create, especially since each one of our testers has their own individual style and several have a real flair for the dramatic! So with that intro…
Let me show you what our testers worked up for this, our 20th cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles!
(presented in the order in which they were submitted to us)
Mary Larson of Rochester, MN started testing for us in the 11th cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles with the Triple Play. Like me, Mary loves working with graphic prints and enjoys pairing them with bold coordinates. I appreciate that Mary is very active on our various social media pages and her Gateway is gorgeous! (See below for a great side view and back shot.)
And this cosmopolitan Gateway was created by Georgia Segura of Deer Park, TX.
Georgia started testing for us in the 17th cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles with the Sling Along but she has surely outdone herself this time with this little cutie-pie bag!
Shannon Maciejewski of Almont, MI joined our testing team in the 9th cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles with the Wrapsody. I always look forward to the unique exteriors Shannon creates for her bags and this bag is certainly no exception! (See below for a great overhead view and back shot.)
Beth Revere of Council Grove, Kansas has been absent from the last few rounds of Purse Pattern Chronicles due to a family illness so we’re really glad to have her back! She also started testing for us with the Wrapsody and I love her version of our Gateway bag. Her fabric choice is stellar and looks fabulous with our “newish” all silver zips! (see below for a back view and an overhead shot of the zippered pouch area.)
And finally, Diane Rhodes is from Monroeville, PA and started testing for us back in 2012 in the 6th cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles with the Uptown Saddlebag. I always look forward to the seeing the bags that Diane creates because of the intricate piecing that generally adorns the exterior, but for her Gateway, Diane used an entirely NEW exterior treatment, but still used incorporated the jewel tones she loves! (see back shot & overhead view below)
So that’s how the testing rounds played out for this, the Gateway cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles and didn’t our testers do an exceptional job?

I particularly like Beth’s blue with silver star zipper. It would be perfect to pair with jeans for that fun day out. Agree with Mary that ALL of them are gorgeous! Hmmm….wonder if my sister will make me another bag…..
