PPC22: Testing the OutBreaker

So…

It’s that time again! It’s time to show you what our testers created in the process of testing our pattern instructions for the OutBreaker! Many of you know that one of my favorite parts of the pattern development process is the testing round. I just LOVE seeing what our testers are inspired to create, especially since each one of our testers has their own individual style and several have a real flair for the dramatic!

It’s notable this time that only four of our testers took part in this exercise. As many of you know all too well, the pandemic has added additional & unanticipated responsibilities to many among us and such was the case with our testers. And while I missed their input (and especially seeing their finished bag) we got very good comments and suggestions from the testers who took part.

So with that intro…

Let me show you what our testers worked up for this,
our 22nd cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles!

(presented in the order in which they were returned to us)

Lori Gates is formerly from West Henrietta, NY but has since relocated to Florida. She’s been testing for us since the Fall of 2008 when we introduced the Boho Baguette and that’s before we even started the first cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles! WOW! AND… to tell you the truth, Lori’s OutBreaker was a surprise for me this time since she usually gives her test bag a Disney theme! Isn’t it gorgeous?

And besides being a great seamstress, Lori is an excellent grammatician & proof-reader. She generally finds the most things that need correcting in every set of instructions she takes on and I totally appreciate her skillset!

Mary Larson of Rochester, MN started testing for us in the 11th cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles with the Triple Play. Like me, Mary loves working with graphic prints and enjoys pairing them with bold coordinates. I appreciate that Mary is very active on our various social media pages, particularly our FaceBook Group, and takes the time to interact with so many of our member. And besides that, her OutBreaker is gorgeous!

Beth Revere of Council Grove, Kansas started testing for us with the Wrapsody and I love her version of our OutBreaker. Her fabric choices are always stellar and this particular look is fabulous with our “newish” blackzips with silver tassels!

(see below for a back view and a peek inside.)

Shannon Maciejewski of Almont, MI joined our testing team in the 9th cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles with the Wrapsody and she says that bag STILL remains her favorite so far! I always look forward to the unique exteriors Shannon creates for her bags and this bag is certainly no exception! The stained glass windows fabric she used on this OutBreaker REALLY adds that certain something to this bag, right?

So that’s how the testing rounds played out for this, the OutBreaker cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles and didn’t our testers do an exceptional job?

And now it’s YOUR turn!

And here’s the deal… our testers perform a great service for us (and in turn for YOU) in the process of making their test bags. I can’t imagine publishing a new pattern without their input, and if you’d like to leave them some love in the “Comments” section” below I’m sure they’d appreciate it. And if you have any questions about the testing process in general, or any of these bag samples in particular, you can leave those there as well and I’ll do my best to answer them!
