A Great, Big, NEW Fabric Drop

Colorful Studio Kat fabric designs collage

So... we had a BLAST shopping for fabrics for our next new bag design, and we've pretty much used all of these beauties in the course of developing this pattern (if not on the design that came b4 this), the Cignet Phone Pal). So let me go ahead & show you exactly how we've used them!

Ornate floral and geometric patterned textile stripes
A purse with a strap and a floral design.

"Shangri-La Stripe" by Benartex
We used this fabric on what turned out to be
the cover model for our Cignet Phone Pal pattern.

Vibrant floral fabric on dotted black background
Colorful floral-patterned bag with intricate designs and a polka dot strap.

"Twilight Dance w/ Polka Dot Contrast" by Sally Kelly for Windham Fabrics
This was one of the 1st few fabric we used for what will be our next new design.

Vertical floral pattern with falling birds
Colorful embroidered handbag with floral patterns.

"Twilight Moonlight" by Sally Kelly for Windham Fabrics
This is a two-border print which works great for bag-making. We used the "quieter" part of this panel for the contrast section of our new design.

Colorful butterfly pattern with dotted purple border

"Shizuka w/Batik Contrast" by Chong-A Hwang for Timeless Treasures
This is a richly colored fabric with a diffinitive metallic feel. I love the way the sample I made with this duo turned out, and I'll post picture SOON!

Watercolor cactus pattern with blooming flowers

"Magical Desert" by Mayo Moreno
We used a black polka-dotted contrast with this print, along with black & white polka-dotted zipeprs. I really liked this fabric from the moment I saw it, and the greenish tones lended a different color element to our normal blues & purples. The  sample came out ultra cute too. I'll show it to you soon!

Abstract teal and blue botanical leaf pattern

"Affinity" by Danielle Duer for Benartex
This fabric is has such completely saturated color.
I'll use a variegated print in my stash for the contrast!

Intricate blue and gold mandala pattern

"Magical Medallion" for Benartex Fabrics
I'm not sure I'll be using this fabric in this edition of Purse Pattern Chronicles,
but its nice to having it waiting for usage for our first design in 2026.

Multicolored floral fabric pattern on black background

"Twilight Windswept" by Sally Kelly for Windham Fabrics
I'm not sure I'll be using this fabric in this edition of Purse Pattern Chronicles,
but its nice to having it waiting for usage for our first design in 2026.

And now.... it's YOUR turn!

So which of these new fabric ring YOUR chimes?
