PPC30: Back to Brazil

So… in our last post I showed you some extraordinary fabric that I got from Brazilian dealer who was a first-time vendor at the International Quilt Market last Fall. From the moment I saw it, I felt like it epitomized a Brazilian vibe, with an exciting explosion of saturated color! Which is why I’m pumped to be able to show you another sample I created using yet another exciting Brazilian print!

Now I’m thinking that this is a sample that our customer base will either LOVE or LEAVE because the colors in it are totally saturated and REALLY explode! I’ve never been to Brazil, not have I ever attended a Carnival Party, but this sample makes me FEEL like going to Brazil and celebrating something…. anything! 🙂

Here’s the obligatory shots of the Bag Front (at left) and Bag Back (at right). To say this sample is “loud” is an understatement I guess, but there’s something about this design in this fabric that totally captures my imagination!

And the front Pouch area can hold way more “payload” than one might expect. It’s a tapered area so it’s really easy to store some smaller items in the thinner bottom area, such as a lipstick or two, a couple of pens and maybe a key fob. Meanwhile, there’s still plenty of room for a full-sized wallet as well as an eyeglasses case!

And even though it’s hard to photograph, the top-loading zippered area is perfect for securely storing your smart phone, passport, boarding passes, receipts and much more!

And guess who else LOVES this fabric? She think it goes great with her grey coat! Anyway, as much as I’d love to procure a few bolts to sell at shows or in our online shop, the shipping from Brazil is oh-so-complicated and unreliable… but who knows, maybe we can make some arrangements at the Quilt Market this Fall?

And now…. it’s YOUR turn!

So… what’s your honest opinion of this fabric. Do you love it, or do you want to leave it on the doorstep? And remember, we love reading your comments and answering your questions too, so please feel free to leave either or both in the space provided below.

It doesnt surprise me that you like the fabric, Nancy! You wouldve gone bonkers in that vendor’s booth. Its too bad that shipping is so squirrley from Brazil, because he has an amazing product! 🙂
