PPC36: Twilight
So... in our last post I told you that we coming to the end of this cycle of Purse Pattern Chronicles, and indeed, this is the last sample I'll be showing you prior to our having to choose the ONE sample that will represent this new design by being the cover model for the Cargo Strap pattern cover!
And not only does this design work up F-A-S-T, but there's really very little "focal" fabric needed, (only a 9" X 16" piece), so I've really enjoyed going back into my stash & pulling out small pieces of some old favorites... in this case a not-so-old "Twilight Dance" by Sally Kelly for Windham Fabrics. I combined it with a multi-colored polka-dot fabric on a black background for the contrast.
And pssst! Now we've added this fun fabric combo to our FabricPage and you can get more info, pics and even pick up some for yourself HERE if you like!
This strap can be worn alone (at left) if you like. The mini pouch is perfect for your key fob, and small cosmetics, while the Mega Pouch can house even the largest cell phones on the Market today, as well as your passport, and the enclosed Card Caddy can hold your driver's license and 2 other cards.
and these shots give you a great look at both sides of these Pouches, almost like looking at mirror-images! 🙂
And in these shots, you can see how easy it is to snap you phone in place at the end of these snaphooks (all's it takes is a tether hook & a little lever-style snaphook) and it's just as easy to snap a bag in place the same way (your bag needs to have top corner D-rings to make this happen!
And just in case you're wondering what the insides of these pouches are like... at left you can see that even my Samsung 24+ fits just FINE in this Mega Pouch, and also within the confines of this pouch is a 3-card Caddy!
And just so you know, one of the things I enjoy the most about making up samples for this new design, is that it requires SO little fabric for the focal print (just a 9" X 16" cut)!
This means I can go back thru my stash & dig out small pieces of some of my all-time favorite prints that I couldn't bear to throw away & give them a new life! Such was the case with this amazing fabric, called Twilight, by Sally Kelly for Windham Fabrics. If you like this fabric, we've added it to our Fabric page and you can pick up some for yourself or just find out more by clicking HERE.
And here's the thing...
this is the last sample I'll be showing you prior to choosing the "cover model" for this Cargo Strap pattern, and if you're a regular to our Purse Pattern Chronicles series, then you know that I LOVE having YOUR input into which sample we should choose & why... so please stay tuned for our next post in this series so we can take your opinion into consideration!
And now.... it's YOUR turn!
