PC22: Denim Sunrise

So here’s the deal…

I had every intention of being done making samples for this design after our last post, but when I sat down to write the pdf tutorial helps for the website, I realized that the pictures I had taken for steps 35-37 were TOTALLY inadequate, which meant I had to make another whole sample just to get the picture for 4 steps! Wow… I must’ve had my head in the clouds that day!

So with that in mind, I did something I only RARELY do…
I actually made a show-quality sample… for MYSELF!
So I dug deep into my stash and pulled out this home dec fabric that I’ve had for years and yeah it’s LOUD and bright and kinda “in your face”, but I’ve always loved it. I paired it with the little bit of faux patent leather I had leftover and a cool polka dotted lining and since dots seemed to be the theme of the day, I went whole hog and used polka-dotted zippers too!
And to be truthful, this turned out to be the best picture I managed to get of the new Zipper Lock. Maybe its because this bag basically looks “black & white” at this particular angle which makes the little lock stand out so well? Who knows, but this turned out to be an unanticipated added bonus! I’ll definitely put this little picture on the backside of the cover!
So now, it is with the utmost pleasure to tell you that I’m officially done making samples for the OutBreaker design, and that can only mean one thing…
It’s time to choose the Cover Model for the OutBreaker pattern cover!
So do stay tuned for the next post in this series when YOU get to play designer and help us choose which sample YOU would place on the cover if it were YOUR decision! And just so you know, this is always one of my favorite posts of the year since I LOVE the feedback!

And now…. it’s YOUR turn!

And remember, we love reading your comments and answering your questions too, so please feel free to leave either or both in the space provided below.
