PPC32: Frond Abstract

So…

I’ve had this fun panel print from Frond Design Studios for a very long time. I first fell in love with it when Stephanie Brandenburg’s booth was alongside ours at the AQS Paducah show. I had no idea what I was going to do with it, or how I would incorporate it into one of my bag designs, and the truth is, that so far it never seemed right for anything I was creating… until NOW that is!!!

And GOSH!!!! Doesn’t it give a totally different vibe to this new design??? (In a REALLY great way!)

Here’s a full Front(at left) & a full Back(at right) look at this newest sample! I love the way this fabric seems
to lend “movement” to the design! The colors are totally rich and saturated!

And it sure does feel GREAT when I see how perfect this Zipper Panel protects this main compartment… especially when I look back and remember how many times I made adjustments to this area that never seemed to be just right! And on top of that… how perfect does this new zipper of ours compliment this incredible fabric?

And finally, here’s some parting side looks at what this cool fabric does for this bag design! I’m not sure, but I love this look so much that I might just have to keep this sample for myself. I have so enjoyed carrying the Gorilla sample for this design, and i so love what this fabric does for it, that it just might be the purrfect bag for ME!?!?

And finally… even though I’m pretty well certain that this particular panel is no longer available on the Frond Design Studio website, there are literally PAGES and PAGES of similar, unique, abstract panel prints to choose from. So click the link (above) and check them out, but only if you have the time to get lost for an hour or so!

And here’s some size info about the Carolinian!

Size/Proportions– 12″ X 4″ X 8″ tall (interior dimensions)

And now…. it’s YOUR turn!

And just so you know… this will be the last sample we’ll show you before we are forced to choose the ONE sample that will grace the pattern cover for the Carolinian design! That’s coming up SOON and you know that I LOVE to have your input!

And if you have comments you’d like to share, suggestions you’d like to make, or questions you’d like to ask about this design in general or this sample in specific, please feel free to leave either or both in the space provided below.
