March 31, 2023 / Kat / Comments Off on the April ’23 Eye Candy Showcase
So… I literally cannot remember the last time that we had an “Eye Candy Showcase” that did NOT include a Sling Along, but that’s the case for April ’23.
As a matter of fact, another thing that’s totally unusual about this month’s “Eye Candy” is that there’s eight out of eight different designs represented here! How cool is that?
So let’s get right to it!
Adriana Carter said she was so nervous about cutting up her “Crazy Cat” panel from Laurel Burch but she LOVES the result! She added a bit of batting & did a little free-motion quilting with silver thread for a totally awesome Flaptastic!
Lugene Fernold says she is SO proud of her Elsie K Baglet & is looking forward to making another, but in cork this time! I had the opportunity to see this bag in person at the MAQF a few weeks ago and its even MORE beautiful in person!
Sheryl Kitamura is a teacher at a local Quilt Shop and she’s so happy with her Katalina that she plans on teaching it at her LQS in the very near future!
Ellen Fontaine said she had a good time choosing the design to embroider on the front of her OutBreaker (and doesn’t this batik give the impression of being a beautiful vinyl)? Ellen already has another Outbreaker in the planning stage! And here’s another of Adriana Carter‘s favorites, a visually satisfying Go-Go Compact! And while you’re at it, check out the impressive binding on this beauty! And what a fantastic way to end this showcase! This fantastical ErgoMatic was created with very lightweight faux leather! It was posted on Instagram by @Sylviasquiltdepot who said the directions are easy to follow and the extra online helps were invaluable!
And now it’s YOUR turn!
Which one of these beauties caught your eye initially? And which one made you want to know more? And remember, we love reading your comments and answering your questions too, so please feel free to leave either or both in the space provided below.
